Welcome to The Beat ~ New Zealand's Line Dancing Site formerly
THE BEAT LINE DANCING MAGAZINE website.
Those new to line dancing and those like us who have been dancing for some time now should make this site your first stop.
You will find :
Class Listings for Instructors on both the North and South Islands
Social Event Listings with flyers, programmes and registration forms (when available)
Top 5 Listings from Instructors around the Country
Workshop Teaches from both International and Local Choreographers/Instructors
Feature articles from The Beat Magazine such as Dance Floor Etiquette and a useful guide for Choreographers.
We shall also in time be adding a Gallery page for some of your social photos,
As well as an "In Loving Memory" page with photos of some of the wonderful line dancers & instructors we have lost over the years.
If you are new to line dancing, the first step is to look at the Class listings for a local class.
Once you have found one, please contact the instructor to check, firstly that the class is still on at the time & location listed and to let them know you are new to Line dancing.
Secondly pop along and start your journey ... you will have a lot of fun and make great friends...it can change your life.
We update the Events page regularly so if the date at the top right is over a week ago - please press the refresh page option on your browser.

In 2018, 2019 & 2020 thanks to the kind generosity of THE Beat Subscribers, Instructors & Event Hosts, the class and social listings were FREE..
The Beat is non-profit making, so if you would like to make a secure donation via PAYPAL towards the costs please click on the button below.
We are pleased to let those final subscribers with issues remaining know that all the charities (Kidney Society, NZ Breast Cancer Foundation, Riding For The Disabled and St. Johns) had money donated to them, those requesting a refund of their subscription fee to their bank account were paid out immediately.
Thank you for your support of these charities.
December 2020 ~ A donation was made to St John's with spare money from 2020
